 I AM

Sunday at church we heard a message on the "I Am" statements found in the book of John.

• I am the Bread of Life (John 6:35)
• I am the Light of the World (John 8:12)
• I am the Door (John 10:9)
• I am the Good Shepherd (John 10:11-14)
• I am the Resurrection and the Life (John 11:25)
• I am the Way and the Truth and the Life (John 14:6)
• I am the Vine (John 15:1-5)

I was encouraged to remember and reflect on who He is..in the good and bad times, the hard days and the unknowns.

• He is my Father
• He is my friend
• He is love and compassion
• He is peace in a broken world
• He is in control even when I think I am
• He sees the suffering and knows why
• He is consistent, when people are not
• He hears my prayers and answers them, sometimes the answer is wait
• He can be trusted despite my doubtful nature
• He still does miracles, even when I am too busy to see them
• He desires a life lived with open hands, even when others may cast judgement
• He cares, when people let you down and you don't understand their decisions
• He stays, although others hurt you or walk away
• He knows my sin and loves me anyway
• He sees my heart and offers grace
• HE IS GOOD AND HE IS GOD

Who is He to you?

We enjoyed an outing to celebrate a friends birthday at the beach a couple weeks ago. This little girl will be starting school in September. Although her mom is no longer with her on earth, she is mightily loved by her daddy.

It's avocado season!!! The store-bought ones in America are nothing to compare to these big beautiful ones I pick in my yard.
