Obedience

Obedience doesn't always mean pleasure.

Maybe obedience looks like disappointment. Or maybe it looks like hurt and rejection.

Maybe letting go is a lesson we need to learn, teaching us to sacrifice our plans, face the loss, give up our comfort, and surrender it all in obedience to Him. 

He never said it would be easy, He never promised the path would go where we wanted it to. But maybe He's leading to something better. Maybe letting go and moving on in the silence is the obedience He is asking for in this season. Maybe the distance and hurt in relationships are leading to a more full and deep relationship with Jesus. 

Because the act of obedience leads to full surrender, and full surrender puts you in the center of God's will.
