Journal - December 27, 2023

December has been a month of reflection. As we celebrated our Savior's birth, I was challeged with the question "what is the birth of Jesus to you?".  And further, how does my daily life reflect that?

Hayden has spent 2 weeks here with me, and we've enjoyed quality time and a variety of activites together. It is always positive to have family visit and get to experience part of my Haitian life.

The month has also included a friend's college graduation, a work Christmas party at the beach, a couple of long but beautiful hikes to new areas, a roof project in a community 8 hours away, and so much more. 

As the year comes to a close, I thank God for the many memories and blessings of 2023. Although at times life seems to be anything but easy, His promise is still true and He will never leave us alone.
