Journal - November 14, 2023

As we get closer and closer to the end of the year, I can't help but reflect on the many memories and experiences that have happened in 2023. There have been difficult days, yet so many sweet moments. I continue to thank God for the lessons and growth that can only be possible through him and by grace. It is a comfort to know that despite challenges or unexpected turns in the road, he is faithful. 

Last week we traveled 3 hours north and then took a boat to a small island where we built a roof on a new church building. It was a great experience and I really enjoyed the small fishing village where we stayed. The views were beautiful. 

I have also been able to see a few other new areas in Haiti over the past couple months. I am continually amazed by the beauty of God's creation. What great love he has for us, that he decided to create such an amazing and vast earth for us to call a temporary home. It's a good challenge to ask ourselves how well we are doing at embracing that great love and then passing it on to others.
