Journal - January 25, 2023

Today I was challenged to think about my focus - do I focus time and energy on the problems that I can't change, or am I focused on being in the here and now despite the tough situations? If I'm caught up on what is out of my control, I'll only become more anxious, and my limited time and energy will be depleted. But, if I can learn to accept the things that I cannot change, I can direct my time and energy to living in the moment and investing it in the relationships God has given me. 

We have been able to start going out on jobs again. It is awesome to watch our staff embrace this. We have been given a renewed thankfulness and purpose, after not being able to do projects for several months.

Seasons of change are always hard. But through change we can grow closer to God and allow him to lead us where he wants us to be. Please continue to pray for Haiti and the people here. Times are still very difficult.

We are looking forward to having a few teams come visit over the next few months. Visitors are always a big moral booster for us as missionaries as well as for our staff. 

Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail.
