Goodbyes and transitions...

Goodbyes are not fun. They are hard, sad, and sometimes awkward. But we can’t avoid them. God opens and closes doors for reasons only he knows; and asks us to trust him through the transitions that life brings.

Goodbyes are part of the process as I finish up my time at Hospital Lumiere and transition to living in Cayes. I’m so thankful for the past year and the relationships, memories, and life that has been shared in Bonne Fin.

But that does not mean that these past few days have been easy. Although I will hopefully be able to visit and stay connected, it is still change and change is not easy. Yet God knows and walks with us through both the new and the routine, the easy and the not so easy.

I am grateful that I have people in my life who make saying goodbye difficult, grateful for memories, and grateful for God’s grace each day.
