Unseen

I wrote this awhile back and found it today. To all of you who are daily serving and giving of yourselves:

It feels like too often in life you are surrounded by people, yet not understood. Maybe you have a million things to do and are bombarded with questions and decisions; you go go go and never catch a break. Or maybe months pass without an encouraging word.

You do your duty faithfully, and you do it with all of your heart. Day after day you give, you love, you serve. You don't complain, and you don't look at what you've chosen to leave behind. You keep going because you know this is where God has placed you.

You are continually learning new things and trying to understand concepts that are foreign to you.

You witness many situations filled with hardship and difficulties and are often called upon to respond without much time to make a decision.

You try to see those who are unseen and to help the helpless, while trying to keep a spark of hope alive.

Often, it's those ones who are faithfully serving, those ones who are seeking to see the unseen, who become unseen themselves. But they press on because they know in their heart that they are seen by a loving God. A God who has a much greater plan. And when they remember this, they gladly choose to remain unseen.
